Title $B \to D^*\ell\nu$ decay on the lattice
Abstract The $B \to D^*\ell\nu$ semileptonic decay is a promising probe of new physics.A tension between the Standard Model and experiments has been reportedfor a decay rate ratio describing lepton flavor universality. However, a long-standing tension in the Cabibbo-Kobayashi-Maskawa matrix elements,$|V_{cb}|$ and $|V_{ub}|$, between the exclusive and inclusive decays suggests thattheoretical and/or experimental uncertainty has not been fully understood. In this talk, we review previous determinations of $|V_{cb}|$, and report onour lattice calculation of the $B \to D^*\ell\nu$ form factors, which are the source of the largest theoretical uncertainty in $|V_{cb}|$.We also report on our on-going studies on the $B \to \pi\ell\nu$and inclusive decays, which are also relevant to the tension in the CKM matrix elements.
