Title Entanglement entropy for elastic and inelastic scatterings
Abstract How much entanglement is produced by scattering processes of particles? Even if the incoming particles are not entangled, the outgoing particles should be entangled due to interaction. Employing the S-matrix framework, we formulate the entanglement entropy for two-particle final states in elastic and inelastic scatterings. As a result, the entanglement entropy formula is described in terms of cross sections. Following this formula, we concretely evaluate the entanglement entropy for a proton-proton scattering and a proton-neutron scattering by using known parameterizations of experimental data.
