| Title | Entanglement entropy for elastic and inelastic scatterings |
| Abstract | How much entanglement is produced by scattering processes of particles? Even if the incoming particles are not entangled, the outgoing particles should be entangled due to interaction. Employing the S-matrix framework, we formulate the entanglement entropy for two-particle final states in elastic and inelastic scatterings. As a result, the entanglement entropy formula is described in terms of cross sections. Following this formula, we concretely evaluate the entanglement entropy for a proton-proton scattering and a proton-neutron scattering by using known parameterizations of experimental data. |
