| Title | Fortuity and Multi-centre Solutions |
| Abstract | Multi-centre supersymmetric supergravity solutions include both black hole solutions and horizonless solutions. The class of horizonless multi-centre solutions includes both smooth geometries and solutions with physical sources such as strings, branes and shockwaves. The fortuitous/monotone classification of supersymmetric states in holographic conformal field theories provides a new perspective through which to study such configurations. Applying current knowledge of the holographic dictionary for heavy pure states in the D1-D5/F1-NS5 system, we identify two families of horizonless multi-centre solutions that can be classified as monotone. Among the remaining solutions, we identify an interesting third family of isolated scaling solutions that exist only for a particular value of N, and have the desired property that their right-moving angular momentum is zero. These solutions do not have proposed holographic dual CFT states, and cannot currently be classified as monotone or fortuitous. I shall discuss avenues for future work to obtain further evidence regarding the status of these configurations. |
