Title Standard Model predictions and new physics in b to c transitions
Abstract b->c transitions play an important role both in the determination of Standard Model (SM) parameters like Vcb and in the search for physics beyond the Standard Model (BSM). These applications require precision determinations of the corresponding form factors, which in searches for BSM physics cannot be taken from data, but must be determined from non-perturbative theory calculations, for instance in lattice QCD. I will discuss the present status of these form factor determinations as well as applications to semileptonic and non-leptonic decays. The latter presently exhibit a significant tension with SM expectations that has so far not been resolved.
